Royal gap year and reality in the Caribbean
Actual royal Princess Beatrice has been snapped frolicking on a beach with her American boyfriend, while reality TV royalty Katie Hopkins has been soaking up the sun with her partner.
The 19-year-old party-loving princess, who has also stopped off in Thailand as part of her gap year, is currently enjoying a romantic break for two on the picturesque island of St Barts.
Redheaded Beatrice looked happy and relaxed as she chatted on the beach with 25-year-old Dave Clarke.
As well as splashing around in the blue waters of the luxury Caribbean island, the fifth in line to the throne also applied suncream to her beau's back, reports the Daily Mail.
Her holiday in the Caribbean follows her gap year trip to Thailand where she joined other tourists for the famed Full Moon party on the island of Koh Phagnan. Keen on getting the most out of her year-long break, the Princess did what other tourists her age do and stayed in a £48-a-night beach hut with a group of her closest friends.
Her girlfriends were nowhere to be seen this week however, as her attentions were spent on some quality time with Clarke - who met the Princess through his university pal Prince William.
On another Caribbean island not too far away, one-time Apprentice competitor Katie Hopkins was seen enjoying a break with her boyfriend Mark Cross. Photographs of the pair were revealed last year allegedly showing them in a compromising position.
The photos emerged just as rumours began circulating about Katie's relationship with a married man. A year on, Cross is living apart from his wife and his romance with the reality TV star is said to be going strong.
Wearing a red halter neck bikini, Katie paddled in the waves with Cross – who paid homage to another tropical beach destination with his Bermuda shorts.
Like the princess's holiday, this seems to be a romantic break for two, with Katie's two youngsters staying at home in the UK. However, the Daily Mail suggests that two could be three in a few months, with reports surfacing that Katie is expecting another child.
Whatever the gossip, the blonde looked to be enjoying her Caribbean holiday, which must come as a change to her last trip abroad as part of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
After being voted off the show, Katie showed a softer side, suggested fellow contestants Marc Bannerman and Cerys Matthews follow their hearts and revealing how much she had missed her "Marky".
"I've found my man and I'm content. We're getting married - but Mark hasn't asked me yet. He hasn't had a family before so we'd like to have a family," she told the Sun.
