Ronnie and Lily head to the States for some fun in the sun

After decades on the road with the Rolling Stones, Ronnie Wood has seen more of the world than most.
However, even at 61 years of age, he shows no sign of slowing down on his jet-setting lifestyle, having now been snapped lazing on the beaches of Hawaii with his young girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova.
The mis-matched couple famously cemented their romance in the lush green countryside of Ireland, though it's fair to say the 20-year-old former cocktail waitress is happier on the beaches of America's 50th state than in a County Sligo pub.
Fortunately for Eketerina, Ronnie's millions means he's able to splash out on a private beach, as are many of the state's celebrity fans, including the entire cast of the cult TV show 'Lost' which is filmed there.
That said, even though it remains one of the world's top romantic break or honeymoon destinations, couples on a travel budget are still able to find a bit of peace and quiet.
Away from the island of Oahu, which is home to the bright lights and glamorous resorts of Honolulu as well as the popular historic site of Pearl Harbour, Maui and Kauai offer some stunning and relatively unspoilt natural scenery.
Nicknamed the 'Valley Isle', Maui boasts the 10,023-foot tall Haleakala volcano, around which car hire customers can tackle some of the world's most beautiful winding roads, many of which lead to quiet beaches and secluded surf spots.
Meanwhile, Kauai, or the 'Garden Isle', offers visitors the opportunity of exploring the natural wonders of the Wailua River and the Waimea Canyon, as well as the Na Pali Coast, though the high levels of rainfall mean this is just a short-term destination for most holidaymakers.
Alongside Hawaii's natural beauty, the islands are also well-known for the laid-back lifestyle they allow visitors to step into for a week or two.
This 'aloha' attitude is nowhere more apparent than in the villages along the north shore of the island of Oahu, which attract thousands of surfing enthusiasts every winter when the big swells start to arrive.
Also enjoying a spot of sunshine before she heads off on a tour of the US, singer Lily Allen has been spotted taking in the cafes and boutiques of San Diego.
As with Hawaii, the Californian city is something of a Mecca for the world's surfing community.
However, for urbanites such as the London-loving Ms Allen who perhaps need to take it easy while on holiday, San Diego is also the perfect place to sit back and relax, with whale watching, designer-label shopping and global-inspired dining all big news in the city.
