Rachel Zoe takes holiday in St Barts
Celebrity fashion stylist Rachel Zoe recently escaped the cold European weather for some winter sun in the Caribbean where she was spotted enjoying herself on the beach.

The 38-year-old super thin stylist, who is renowned to have dressed the likes of Cameron Diaz, Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton and Lindsay Lohan, holidayed in St Barts, according to the Daily Mail.

There is some controversy surrounding Ms Zoe's shrinking weight, with some arguing she is too thin, although she has always insisted that she is healthy.

Ms Zoe "unveiled a body which looked severely under nourished" while holidaying in the sunny destination, according to the national newspaper, which compared her photos to one picture from April last year, in which she does not appear to be as thin.

Known officially as the Collectivity of Saint Barthelemy, St Barts is one of the four territories among the Caribbean's Leeward Islands including the French West Indies, Guadeloupe, Martinique and St Martin.

St Barts is a popular holiday destination especially among the rich and famous thanks to its picturesque and pristine beaches, gourmet dining and high-end designers.

The small island features around 25 hotels, most of which have around 15 rooms or fewer and an estimated 400 privately owned villas available for rent.

According to saint-barths.com, the island boasts at least 22 "virgin white, sandy beaches" including the Bay of St-Jean, the Anse des Cayes, the Anse des Flamands, Colombier, Corossol, the Salines, Lorient and Toiny.

The "breathtakingly beautiful" island is not only a natural marine reserve, but one of the best places to engage in snorkelling, scuba diving, big game fishing and other water sports.

Like many Caribbean destinations, the island hosts carnivals and festivals that holidaymakers may want to make a point of attending if they want to immerse themselves in its culture.

Meanwhile, the Post Office has revealed that the Caribbean could offer value for money for holidaymakers who opt to take a holiday in Jamaica, which is likely to be among the cheapest long-haul destinations this year.

The news was revealed by Sarah Munro, head of Post Office Travel Services, who was speaking ahead of the publication of the living costs comparison barometer.

"Jamaica looks to be one of the most affordable long-haul destinations this year as sterling has strengthened by over 24 per cent against the Jamaican dollar over the past 12 months," she explained.

"Our living costs comparison barometer shows that Jamaica is the cheapest of the four big Caribbean Islands for a basket of eight tourist staples including meals and drinks."

Research by the organisation found prices to be 15 per cent lower in Jamaica compared to St Lucia, which emerged as the most expensive Caribbean Island surveyed.

Jamaica's minister of tourism Edmund Bartlett said recently that he expects tourism to grow by six per cent in 2010.
