Oprah enjoys Italian holiday break
Chat show queen Oprah Winfrey was recently spotted enjoying a holiday break in Portofino, Italy with long-time best friend Gayle King.
The super wealthy broadcasting giant, who is well known for dishing out cars like spare change, put her hard-earned cash to good use by treating herself to a relaxing break in the Italian destination after a brief stint in England to celebrate Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday.
Winfrey was also joined on the trip by celebrity pal actor/director Tyler Perry who is best-known to US audiences for his comedic roles as alter-ego Madea.
The busty billionaire tycoon, whose battles with weight gain have been much-publicised, stepped out in a long flowing white skirt and tight blouse.
After browsing shops and signing autographs for fans, Winfrey enjoyed some alfresco dining, sipping on a drink and eating olives with her companions. The holidaymakers were also snapped relaxing on a boat in Portofino's habour enjoying some light banter.
Winfrey has just emerged from a strict self-imposed 21-day detox as part of attempts to "jump-start an inner makeover".
The regime, which is inspired by a book by Kathy Freston, required Winfrey to give up caffeine, alcohol, sugar, gluten and animal products for three weeks.
Also enjoying Portofino was Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington, who was snapped enjoying an evening stroll with his wife.
