Music royalty weds in Aruba, while ladies' man gets serious in Mexico
R n B/ Pop super-producer Timbaland and fiancee Monique Idlett flew into the paradisiacal island of Aruba on Sunday to finally tie the knot.
Following an intimate wedding ceremony in Virginia, the music mogul flew his record producer and publicist fiancee Monique to Oranjestad in Aruba, to cement their nuptials in idyllic tropical surrounds.
The lovebirds said their romantic "I dos" at a beautiful sunset ceremony held at the Renaissance Resort and Casino, a 556-room retreat on a private 40-acre island.
The groom's children also took part in the ceremony; the bride was escorted past 300 guests by Timbaland's son Demetrius, while his other son strode down the aisle as the ring bearer. The couple's seven-month old baby, Reign, was also on hand to witness her parents' happy day.
After the ceremony, family members and friends including famous music industry personalities such as Missy Elliot, Kerri Hilson, Ginuwine and Omarian gathered together to watch a fireworks display light up the sky over the beautiful island.
June is a great time to visit Aruba and there are many events that take place at this time, including the Aruba Beach Tennis National Championships, which are held on Moomba Beach.
Also taking place in June is the 22nd Aruba International Triathlon and the Aruba Bracket Motorcycle Madness Drag Race.
