Kylie meets new man's family

Kylie meets new man's family
Kylie Minogue has continued her apparent romantic tour of Europe with her new beau by arriving in his home town in Spain in order to meet the 'in-laws', it was reported yesterday (February 5th).

The Aussie singer, 40, has been dating model Andres Velencoso Segura since October and friends are optimistic that she will now finally be able to shake off her 'unlucky in love' tag.

The couple have been spotted in numerous destinations such as Paris, Chamonix and Barcelona in recent weeks, but their latest jaunt has taken them to the small town of Tossa de Mar on the Costa Brava.

According to reports, Kylie has been relaxing in the region - which is a popular destination for holidays - and has been introduced to Segura's father and sisters.

However, the Spaniard, 30, is said to be distraught that she will be unable to meet his mother, who died seven years ago.

A source told the Daily Mail: "Andres took her to meet his family, and they all got to know each other over dinner at his father's restaurant.

"It was a very romantic break - they were able to go for long walks along the beach together and Andres showed her many places from his childhood.

"This is his first serious relationship and his family appreciate how much effort he is making with Kylie and were very welcoming.

"He was sad that Kylie couldn't meet his mother, as he describes her as the most important person in his life."

Segura, who is Kylie's first lover since she split up with French actor Olivier Martinez in October, is also believed to be on the verge of buying a home in west London so he can spend more time with her.

Although reasonably sleepy for much of the year, Tossa de Mar is popular with tourists during the holiday season, mainly for its pleasant ambience and stunning beaches.

It is set on a stretch of aesthetically pleasing coastline, punctuated by a number of small coves, while there are plenty of hotels in the region and the nightlife can be particularly lively.

The castle offers impressive views of the town - much of which dates back to the 12th century - while its location is also ideal for day trips to Barcelona.

As with any trip abroad, Britons should ensure that they have taken out holiday insurance before they head to Tossa de Mar.
