Ferry heads to Caribbean with new squeeze
Veteran crooner Bryan Ferry and his new squeeze Amanda Sheppard have jetted off for their first romantic holiday together, the Daily Mail reports.

The 63-year-old hit the headlines recently when it was revealed that he was dating Sheppard, 27, as she has previously had a relationship with his son Isaac.

But it would appear that the pair are serious about each other after being an item for the past two months as they have flown out for a break in Mustique, a private island in the Caribbean.

One source told the newspaper: "Now that it is out in the open, Amanda has excitedly been telling pals about the trip. It's their first holiday together."

Ferry, who sang 'Love is a Drug', has certainly shown that he subscribes to that claim in recent times and that he has a penchant for younger women.

He famously got together with 21-year-old backing singer Katie Turner six years ago but his latest union has arguably caused an even bigger stir.

The couple have been pictured at various London hotspots and parties in the past few weeks, such as when they were spotted at an evening for fashion house Prada.

According to the newspaper, one insider commented: "It was odd to see him because the guest list was mainly young people but he seemed comfortable with Amanda and her friends.

"Amanda has known Bryan for years, but nothing has ever happened between them until now."

Indeed, the former Roxy Music frontman must have made a good impression with Sheppard's pals as they now cheekily refer to him as 'The Pensioner'.

Although it is unclear how serious the relationship has become, Ferry appears to be enjoying himself after his 20-year marriage to ex-wife Lucy came to an end in 2002.

Holidays in the Caribbean are not just popular with celebrities, of course, as huge numbers of tourists seeking a sun-soaked, relaxing break book up hotels there every year.

Mustique forms part of the Grenadines island group, most of which in turn make up the country of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

It is a popular location for holidays among celebrities due to its 90 private villas, with figures such as Amy Winehouse, Noel Gallagher, Kate Moss and even Prince William having arrived on its shores.

The tiny island - it is just 2.2 square miles - plays host to several impressive coral reefs and its land fauna includes tortoises, herons and a number of other species.
