Fergie returns from Maldives honeymoon

Fergie returns from Maldives honeymoon
Fergie and new husband Josh Duhamel returned from their honeymoon on Monday (January 26th), looking happy and relaxed as they strolled through LAX airport.

The Black Eyed Peas singer, 33, and her Transformers actor beau, 36, tied the knot on January 10th at an intimate ceremony at Malibu's Church Estates Vineyards.

They followed up their special day by heading to the Maldives, where they had a hugely enjoyable and active holiday, according to reports emerging this week.

The pair apparently got involved with scuba diving, kayaking, sailing and spa time, while they must have spent plenty of time on the sun loungers, judging by their radiant tans.

A source told US Weekly magazine: "[They] wanted to get as far away as possible and just unwind."

The plan appears to have worked as Fergie, looking effortlessly stylish in a black and floral maxi dress, and Duhamel, dressed in jeans and a summery white shirt, looked at ease as they were snapped by photographers on their return.

Nevertheless, such is the hectic nature of their workloads that the pair still managed to fit in a trip to the Bahamas in order to pursue some prior commitments.

Duhamel attended the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational (MCJI) golf tournament on Paradise Island, while Fergie performed a set at the Atlantis resort as part of the MCJI Charity Celebration Galas.

The happy couple are now reportedly looking into the possibility of adoption, with Duhamel thought to be keen to have a child and Fergie reluctant to sidetrack her career with pregnancy.

The insider told US Weekly: "The two decided that adopting is the perfect solution. They can start their family without Fergie having to put her career on hold."

Britons have long been enamoured with the Maldives as a perfect destination for long-haul holidays, with its stunning sandy beaches, gloriously clear seas and friendly and hospitable locals.

The simple way of life is hugely appealing and the chance to soak up the sun all year round is punctuated by the fantastic opportunities on offer for diving to explore the many impressive coral reefs.

The country is currently in the grip of some major development, with high-class resorts and ecologically-orientated hotels popping up with increasing regularity.

Travellers to the Maldives should also remember to book up holiday insurance to ensure that they make the most out of a uniquely indulgent break which will live long in the memory.
