Danielle Lloyd in Dubai

Danielle Lloyd in Dubai
Danielle Lloyd has certainly been on an emotional rollercoaster over the past few years. The beauty queen was vilified after her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother for making racist comments, beaten up on a night out in London and after being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome believed she could not have children.

So, now that she has conceived the glamour girl has decided to take some time out on a holiday and where better to relax than the sunny shores of Dubai?

Lloyd was snapped stroking her protruding belly, which gave away the not-so-secret news of her four-month-old pregnancy.

The 26-year-old tweeted: "I'm sooo happy."

Lloyd is expecting her first child with footballer fiance Jamie O'Hara, who wrote on his Twitter page: "Me and Danielle can confirm that we are having a baby, it's due in July and we're soooo happy, I'm gonna be a daddy."

However, O'Hara was not snapped on the United Arab Emirates beach with Lloyd, who he has been engaged to for three months.

Their baby is due at the end of July and the couple plan to marry back on British soil in June.

It is not hard to see why glamour model Lloyd chose Dubai to relax in - it is fast becoming the stylish playground of the rich and famous.

Glass skyscrapers reach for the blue skies, overshadowing the five-star shopping malls that lie below and VIP bars that come alive by night.

But Dubai has more than glitz - it is also innovative. This city invented the first virtual shopping festival and has a premium hotel built on an artificial island.

However, this Arab city's charm is not entirely reliant on the oil money that made it a modern metropolis - there are also a wealth of cultural sites for holidaymakers to enjoy.

At the Heritage Village during Ramadan visitors can see local Emiratis enjoying their time-old traditions, singing and dancing to celebrate the religious festival.

Furthermore, those who wander down to the creek will be able to see the traditional wooden boat traffic make their daily journey down the waterway, while the souks are a great place to pick up inexpensive and authentic local crafts.

Those who do take the time to veer away from the credit card-crazy high streets and coastal strips of Dubai will find that this is a modern city which still has a heart.

No doubt other expectant mothers will want follow in Lloyd's footsteps and come to Dubai for relaxation and tranquillity in their gestation period.
