Button takes holiday in Dubai after Brazil win
Formula One champion Jenson Button recently took a deserved break in the United Arab Emirates, where he was spotted having a romantic get-together with girlfriend Jessica Michibata.

Button is fresh from fulfilling a lifelong ambition of winning one of the most coveted titles in motor sport after driving his way into a points finish at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The Brawn GP driver became the new Formula One world champion after finishing in fifth place, which was enough to throw closest title rival Rubens Barrichello out of contention for the trophy.

Initially, doubts had been expressed about the possibility of Button clinching the title at the Interlagos circuit, following a poor qualifying performance that saw him start the race in 14th place, while his teammate Barrichello landed pole position.

However, the British driver fought his way through the race, pulling overtaking manoeuvres that showed he was deserving of the title and went on to score four points, giving him a 15-point advantage with only one race to go in the 2009 season - but with only a maximum of ten points up for grabs.

After such hard work, a relaxing holiday in Dubai - away from the speed and noise of the competition - seems to have been the right thing to do for Button, who was spotted on a boat with his Japanese underwear model girlfriend.

The Daily Mail published photographs of the loved up couple enjoying the sun and sea of the popular holiday destination, which attracts visitors from all over the world.

Holidays in Dubai can be a rewarding experience thanks to the abundance of historical attractions such as mosques and old settlements as well as modern wonders like the Burj Al Arab hotel.

Those who want to discover the cultural offering of the destination should try a walk around Deira, which is one of three distinct areas in Dubai that include Burj Dubai and the popular tourist destination of Jumeirah.

Deira boasts traditional markets such as the Covered Souk, which have everything from textiles and spices to kitchen wares, clothes and henna that give it an Indian rather than an Arabic feel, according to Dubai.com.

Scents of cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, incense, dried fruit and nuts flavour the air around Deira Spice Souk, which is another market in the area boasting narrow lanes.

However, if what you desire is precious metal, then Deira's Gold Souk is the place to be. This area features a variety of shops selling gold ingots as well as intricately crafted jewellery at bargain prices, which is ideal for those looking for a memento or presents for their loved ones.

A trip to this vibrant holiday destination should not end without checking out manmade wonders such as Hydropolis, the world's first underwater hotel, the multi billion dollar Atlantis Resort & Hotel or Burj Dubai.
