Briatore treats wife to Sardinia break

Flamboyant billionaire Flavio Briatore has been spotted taking a sunny break in the Mediterranean with his stunning 29-year-old model wife Elisabetta Gregoraci, who showed off her figure in a pink bikini.
The 2009 Formula One season has been a tough period for many of the participating teams including motorsports billionaire Flavio Briatore's Renault, which has so far managed to score only 13 points.
Former two-time Formula One champion Fernando Alonso, who drives for the team, was on course to increase these points at last Sunday's (July 26th) Hungarian Grand Prix before a tyre put paid to his dreams when it came off in the early part of the race, forcing him to retire.
Perhaps this disappointment prompted Mr Briatore to decide to treat himself to something less stressful - a relaxing holiday on the island of Sardinia in the company of his wife.
The two have been photographed in pictures published by the Daily Mail enjoying the island's sandy beaches and canoodling in the azure waters of the holiday hotspot.
Settling for this enchanting island must have been a well informed decision as the couple are no stranger to the best holidaying hotspots available throughout the world, having spent four months after their wedding last year on a honeymoon that saw them globe trot.
Indeed Sardinia is a natural gem that has a lot to offer visitors, with manmade and natural attractions including fantastic beaches and bizarre cliff formations among the features worth checking out while on the island.
The island is home to several attractions worth visiting such as Sant Elmo, which is based on the southern part of Costa Rei, also known as the coast of kings.
Here are located a cluster of beaches boasting "translucent, turquoise waters and never-ending, white sandy stretches, according to Discover Sardinia.
According to the website, Sant Elmo is equipped with "picturesque coves of sand and rock as well as numerous secret and deserted spots" that can still be accessed by visitors even in high season.
Other beaches include Torresalinas and Geremeas, which offer "more than enough breathing space for rest and relaxation" and "a well-groomed living environment combined with ocean proximity" respectively.
Away from the beach, the island offers mountains, lakes and lagoons, mines and parks that offer a great opportunity for visitors to not only tour, but also to enjoy pursuits such as mountain climbing.
There are also protected areas worth visiting including Monte Pulchiana, which is the largest granite monolith on the island, the Giara di Gesturi nature reserve, Su Suercone, Monte Arcosu Limbara and Sos Nibberos.
Visitors can also immerse themselves in local culture by veering off the beaten truck to discover some of the towns and villages, which offer a great opportunity for sampling local cuisine and wines as well as getting mementos from craft shops.
